November 10

Galleries Reception Atrium

Explore the Galleries and enjoy live music with Songbird and the Tweeters and cocktails after hours. View our new exhibit, Eye on the Iconic: Royal Splendor: The Coronation Gown from The Crown, accompanied by a gallery chat with Kim Collison, exhibition curator and manager of exhibitions and collection planning. Her chat  will touch on the iconic nature of the original dress as well as its historical context in connection to England’s longest reigning monarch.

Enjoy the sounds of Philadelphia jazz combo Songbird and the Tweeters in Winterthur’s Gallery Reception Area. Led by graduates of Temple University’s Boyer School of Music, these young performers have both a reverence for classic American jazz standards and an interest in contemporary jazz tunes. This performance will take you on a musical journey through the ages of jazz, exploring its history and where it stands today.
